Annual hydrant testing ensures that in the event of a fire, the local authority Fire & Rescue Service have all the tools available to them in good working order to safe life and property.

Testing is an annual legal requirement for all private property owners responsible for the functionality of fire hydrants.

Hydrants require regular inspection and maintenance to ensure that they will work correctly.

The installation and maintenance of privately owned fire hydrants is governed by British Standards and Building Regulations, in particular BS 9990:2015.

Our annual testing covers the following:

• Flow test.
• Pressure test.
• Signage inspection.
• Pit and cover condition inspection.
• Depth of valve inspection.

The latest flow test equipment is used to ensure accurate readings.

We can also conduct testing to ensure that available site water supplies meet the facility fire plans identified water demand.
