FIRE RISK ASSESSMENTS (FRA)
SERVICE OVERVIEW
To comply with legislation, Fire Risk Assessments are compulsory for business premises that employ more than five persons.
EPS have significant experience and professional Fire Risk Assessors who will provide you with an excellent service of a very high standard to ensure that your premises are compliant under the Fire Scotland Act 2005 and the Fire (Scotland Regulations 2006.
Our trained, qualified and experienced Fire Risk Assessors will inspect your site and buildings, identify potential risks and create a detailed Fire Risk Assessment report which will clearly identify the solutions required to improve the fire safety within your business or organisation. We provide these electronically to save on paper, but a printed copy is available upon request.
There is plenty that a good quality detailed Fire Risk Assessment covers, with five essential components that will be included in your EPS Fire Risk Assessment:
- Identification Fire Risks Within Your Buildings
These could be sources of fuel, oxygen or ignition, essentially anything that would contribute to ignition or contribute to the propagation fire.
- Identify People at Risk Within Your Buildings
These could be those with mobility issues who would need assistance in the event of a fire or those working more closely with heat and open flames.
- We Will Evaluate
Any risks then highlight how to remove them and ways to protect against them. This can be something simple like checking for fire signage or something more major such as suggesting flammable materials be kept in a different place.
- Record the Findings
This will include, your maintenance and servicing records, your plans put in place for emergencies, how you inform and instruct employees on how to prevent fires, how you cooperate with those who are responsible for fire safety in mutli occupational buildings as well as your fire safety training to employees.
- We Will
Set a review date for your Fire Risk Assessment, which should be regularly reviewed.
Provide you with any technical support or any clarification’s on fire safety matters concerning your premises.
